A Voice for Newcastle Since 1977

For over 40 years, Newcastle University Choir has brought the power and joy of choral music to life. From Bach to Britten, Mozart to musical theatre, our performances span centuries and styles – from sacred masterworks to jazz, gospel and contemporary favourites.

Based in Newcastle and singing in iconic venues like the University’s Great Hall and Christ Church Cathedral, we’re a vibrant, non-auditioned community of around 100 voices – students, staff and locals alike. We welcome all who love to sing, collaborate with local ensembles and provide emerging musicians with valuable performance experience.
